U.S. Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa will be the featured speaker at the Rotary Club of Kapolei's 7:30 a.m. breakfast meeting, Thursday, May 24, 2012, in Kapolei High School's faculty lounge. The public is invited to attend.
Bruce Coppa, the chief of sfaff for Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie, was the featured speaker at the Rotary Club of Kapolei's 7:30 a.m., breakfast meeting, Thursday, May 17, 2012 in the faculty lounge at Kapolei High School. He provided an update on the governor's key priorities for the state as well as Kapolei and answered questions about issues important to club members.
The club has launched a six-month anti-graffiti project aimed at defending the community from vandals and litter bugs. More than 100 volunteers are expected to participate in the community-service project, which runs through October 2012. For more information, call 387-9284.
The club will host a $10 spaghetti dinner Friday, May 25, 2012 in Ewa Beach. Proceeds from the event will go to Rotary Foundation, which supports humanitarian missions abroad. The event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 5230B Iroquois Ave., in Ewa Beach. Activities include bingo and fireworks show.
