About Us

Aloha and Welcome to the Rotary Club of Kapolei, Hawai`i!

Kapolei Rotary is dedicated to the support of education through scholarships, vocational programs, community and international projects. Our primary fund raiser, the Taste at Kapolei, has raised over $1,000,000 for scholarships and educational programs supporting Leeward Oahu Students. The spirit
of "Service Above Self" motivates our club members to support the local community and extend our reach through international projects. Most important, we make it fun for all who participate in our activities!

A Brief Look Back......

On February 23, 1905, Chicago attorney, Paul Harris, invited three friends to meet with him to discuss an idea he had for a group whose purpose would be to cultivate business relationships and develop friendships.  Thus was the beginning of the world’s oldest and most prestigious service club organization.

Although early meetings focused on fostering fellowship, before long the founders discovered a more profound purpose for their club. Within a year, the club began to formulate the basic tenants and principles, which later evolved into the Object of Rotary, encouraging and fostering the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.  Service, whether shared in our own communities or in the larger world community, is the very core of Rotary.

Rotary International encompasses all Rotary organizations.

Rotary District 5000 covers all of Hawaii.
